Developing Scalable Solutions with Kubernetes
Learning how to develop Kubernetes applications opens up a wide range of career opportunities in high-demand fields such as DevOps, cloud engineering, and containerization.
In this course, you’ll learn how to define application resources and use core Kubernetes primitives to build, monitor, and debug scalable applications—including working with network plugins, security features, and cloud storage for deployment in production environments.
This course—supplemented by hands-on exercises and self-study—will equip you with the skills and knowledge that are also tested on the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) exam.
Here’s what you’ll take away from this Kubernetes training course
After this Kubernetes seminar, you’ll be able to containerize applications on your own and will be fully prepared for the CKAD exam.
- NApplication Containerization: You can confidently use Dockerfiles and container options.
- N You use core Kubernetes primitives—deployments, pods, and services—to build scalable applications.
- NDesigning containerized applications: You use sidecars, init containers, and jobs strategically.
- NYou have a thorough understanding of deployment configuration—including volumes, secrets, and ConfigMaps—as well as scaling and rollbacks.
- NSecurity concepts for applications: RBAC, admission controllers, and security contexts are part of everyday life.
- NTroubleshooting and Monitoring: You can identify problems in applications and on the network in a targeted manner.
Who is this Kubernetes training course intended for?
This Kubernetes workshop is designed for experienced application developers who want to containerize, host, deploy, and configure apps in a multi-node cluster.
Typical Participants
- Application Developer
- Backend Developer
- DevOps Engineer
- Cloud Engineer
- Software Architect
Requirements
Kubernetes Training
- Basic knowledge of using the Linux command line and editing files
- Familiarity with a programming language such as Python, Node.js, or Go
- Knowledge of cloud-native application concepts is helpful—for example, from the free “Introduction to Kubernetes” MOOC on edX
